Our Services

At Danville Pediatric Dentistry, we offer a comprehensive range of dental services tailored specifically for children. From gentle cleanings and preventive care to specialized treatments like orthodontics and sedation dentistry, our skilled team is committed to providing the highest quality dental care to ensure your child’s oral health and bright smile. Check out what we have to offer!

Dental Exams & Cleanings

Our team performs regular dental exams and cleanings for children as young as soon as their first teeth emerge. We recommend visiting our office every six months to prevent gum disease and decay while we closely monitor your child’s overall oral health.

General Anesthesia

To assist children in managing dental anxiety during restorative procedures, we provide the option of nitrous oxide/oxygen (“happy air”) and General Anesthesia in our treatment rooms. These measures are designed to ensure their comfort and ease throughout the process, allowing them to undergo necessary dental treatments with confidence.

Digital X-Rays

Offering a safer alternative to traditional X-rays, digital imaging significantly reduces radiation exposure by 80% while delivering faster results. Through digital X-rays, we gain a precise view of the underlying structures in your child’s mouth, enabling us to develop a precise and effective treatment plan tailored to their needs.

Dental Emergencies

When accidents happen we are fully prepared to handle any pediatric dental emergencies promptly. Whether it involves a knocked-out or chipped tooth, our immediate assistance can help prevent substantial dental discomfort or infection-related swelling. Rest assured that by reaching out to us right away, your child’s dental well-being is in capable hands.

Knocked out Baby Tooth

When a baby tooth is unexpectedly dislodged, it is a natural process. Trust our experienced team to provide the necessary assistance. Although it may be tempting to re-insert the tooth, we advise against it as it can potentially harm the growth of the permanent tooth. For proper care, we recommend visiting our office promptly to ensure your child receives the appropriate treatment.

Knocked Out Permanent Tooth

In the event of a knocked-out permanent tooth, it is crucial to contact us immediately. To handle this dental emergency, it is advised to maintain the tooth in its original position or gently hold it by the crown. If the patient is quite young and there’s a risk of swallowing the tooth, storing it in a container of milk until you reach our dentist’s office can be beneficial.

Toothaches

Toothaches can cause intense discomfort for individuals of all ages. Let our skilled professionals identify the underlying cause of your child’s toothache and provide an appropriate solution. During the appointment, we will discuss recommendations for effectively managing your child’s discomfort, ensuring their relief and well-being.

Chipped Tooth

When a tooth becomes chipped or broken, we recommend bringing the fragment along with you, as there may be a chance to reattach it. If reattachment is not feasible, rest assured that we can explore artificial solutions that mimic the natural appearance of the tooth.
